This class will prepare you for real world confrontations and is ideal for anyone who has completed a CWP, Basic Firearm, or Intro to Handgun and wishes to learn how to effectively deploy a firearm for the purpose of self defense. We can help by incorporating advanced tactics, multiple mag changes, working on shooting groups, engaging multiple threats, working in pairs and building team skills. This is a full day we start with the safety brief and get right in to shooting.
South Carolina Gun School teaches a SLED approved curriculum to obtain a South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit. You must be 21 years of age and a resident of South Carolina to take this class. You must complete both the written and shooting test with passing scores to be considered for your permit. SLED may take past 90 days to mail your permit to you. This class will cover and answer questions you may have about gun construction, gun handling skills, and questions about the laws.
The Basic Firearms Course is a safety and fundamentals class for any youth/teenager starting at age 8 to age 18, and also for any adult wanting to learns the basic’s about firearms or looking to get more fluent with your firearm before taking any Intro or Defensive classes.
Tactical Rifle will take right off from where you were at on Fighting Rifle. We jump right in with a few refresher drills then move on to the meat of the class running drills. In this class you will drill controlling your shots during quick movements. You will learn to work with 1, 2 and 4 man teams. You will go through scenarios you have to react with split second decisions of shoot and no shoot. Moving to active shooter drills. Learning to deal with downed a operator and learning to use and work around vehicles or simulated obstacles.
This class will prepare you for real world confrontations and is ideal for anyone who has completed our Fighting Pistol Class. You will have the opportunity to learn how to effectively deploy a firearm for the purpose of self-protection. Tactical Pistol will expand your knowledge from the Fighting Pistol Class, incorporating advanced tactics, engaging multiple threats, and communication and team skills if applicable, vehicle uses in situations.
If you want to become proficient with your rifle we can help. Most shooting exercises are conducted within 50 yards of the target with the emphasis on close quarter engagements. As the day progresses you will become more confident with your ability to transition from your carbine to your pistol as well as from strong to weak side. You will learn how to keep your gun in the Fight!
This 4-5 hour course is fun and slow paced. Designed for beginners or anyone who has bought their first carbine, this course can be attained by shooters at any level. A carbine made by a reliable manufacturer is preferred.
This is a 4-5 hour course that is fun and slow paced. It is designed for beginners that feel they have enough range time to not need the Basic Firearms Course, but still don’t feel comfortable enough for the Fighting classes.

This class is designed for businesses, churches, neighborhood watch, and civilian response teams. This is designed to provide the person or team with the knowledge and skills to successfully handle an active threat event. This program will provide the person or team with the proficiency and aptitude through hands on training to manage these situations.
